Load evaluation and bid pricing

Score board freight against your fleet and price a single shipment against your true cost before you answer the broker.

Three tools answer “should I take this, and at what price?” at different scales: the fleet-fit score for a prospect, Rate check for one shipment, and the planner for a whole trailer.

Prospects and the fleet-fit score

Loads → Prospects holds freight you are only looking at — leads you entered by hand, and the loads of trips you planned but have not booked. Nothing here counts toward revenue, the P&L or the money pipeline until you mark it Booked, when it moves into your book.

Each prospect gets a 0–100 Match score that weighs your operating regions, your equipment and your minimum rate per mile. Open a prospect to see why it scored the way it did. The score is deterministic — the same load and the same fleet profile always score the same.

Rate check

Planning → Rate check gives two answers for one shipment: what the market says the lane is worth, and what running it costs your rig — fuel at this week's regional diesel, tolls, driver pay and deadhead — so you see the margin before you quote.

  1. Start from a prospect when you can: its Rate check button pre-fills the lane and vehicles.
  2. Pick your own rig, not an industry archetype. The archetypes are placeholders until your costs are set.
  3. Read the verdict — Book it, Negotiate or Pass — and the floor under it. Never quote below what a mile costs you.
Consolidated
this load's share of the truck's cost when it rides with others.
Dedicated
the whole truck's cost, when this load runs alone.

Diesel prices

Planning → Diesel prices maps this week's diesel by region from the U.S. Energy Information Administration. The same numbers price fuel in Rate check, the planner and the P&L, so a direction that looks cheap there is cheap in every figure that follows.

Suggestions, not decisions. Scores, verdicts and prices are estimates from the data Loadful has. They can be wrong or out of date, and every booking and every quote is your call.
